Summary:
The Kewa Pueblo Health Corporation (KPHC) is established for the purposes of carrying out the vision and mission of the Santo Domingo Health Center (SDHC). The position is responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate direct patient care to individuals across the lifespan, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. The incumbent assesses, treats, and supports patients with a wide range of healthcare needs while promoting wellness, disease prevention, and continuity of care. This role is expected to maintain the highest standards of patient safety, confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical practice while delivering culturally sensitive care. The incumbent must work collaboratively with patients, families, healthcare providers, and community partners, adhere to all organizational policies and applicable regulations, and demonstrate honesty, dependability, and respect in all interactions. A current insurable driver's license is required to support the responsibilities of the position.

Duties:
Provides comprehensive primary and preventive healthcare services to patients across the lifespan in a clinical setting. Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and treating acute and chronic health conditions; developing and implementing treatment plans; responding to medical emergencies; and delivering patient education, counseling, and health promotion services. Participates in specialty clinics and community health initiatives, collaborates with patients and families to encourage positive health outcomes, and practices within established clinical protocols and standing orders. Maintains an understanding of the cultural and community needs of Santo Domingo Pueblo, supports tribal health programs as assigned, participates in quality improvement activities, and performs other related duties as required. Qualifications:
Education:Certificate of Completion and/or current licensure from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.Experience:Minimum of three (3) years of experience practicing in an ambulatory outpatient healthcare setting.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Demonstrated knowledge of family nurse practitioner principles and practices, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, health education, preventive care, and chronic disease management across the lifespan. Ability to perform physical and psychosocial assessments, conduct physical examinations, interpret laboratory results, prescribe appropriate therapeutic interventions, and provide patient counseling. Knowledge of pharmacology, cultural competency, community health principles, and mandatory reporting requirements under the Indian Child Protection Act. Must maintain eligibility for credentialing and privileging in accordance with Kewa Pueblo Health Corporation Medical Staff Bylaws and possess current CPR and/or ACLS certification.Preferred Qualifications:Bilingual proficiency in English and the Keres language.
