We are seeking a passionate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) who enjoys caring for a diverse pediatric population and is committed to delivering exceptional care to children and families.Position SummaryThe Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will practice as an independent clinician while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team. This role is responsible for the direct care and clinical management of pediatric patients at our St. Paul and Minneapolis Emergency Department locations. APPs in the pediatric emergency department practice to the full scope of their licensure within a team-based model that includes both independent patient visits and shared visits alongside an attending physician.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess, diagnose, treat, and manage pediatric patients presenting with a wide range of acute and traumatic conditionsObtain histories, perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and implement treatment plansPrescribe medications and therapeutic interventions appropriate to the patient populationCollaborate with attending physicians, pediatric specialists, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, efficient, high-quality careSchedule RequirementsWe are open to a range of 0.8 to 1.0 FTE, depending on candidate interest and program needs.Rotating schedule that includes weekends and holidaysThe Children's Emergency departments, located in Minneapolis and St. Paul, are staffed 24 hours-a-day by board-eligible or board-certified pediatric emergency physicians and by nurses with specialized education in pediatric emergency medicine. Each facility is designed to support short-stay needs, coordinate pediatric and neonatal care transport, assault and abuse services, access to pediatric specialists, and emergency telephone consultation and referral.Education/License/Certification/Experience:APRN Requirements:Current MN RN/APRN License. Nationally Board Certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with either the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice preferredPhysician Assistant Requirements:Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
