JOB DESCRIPTION

Atlantic Health, one of the largest integrated healthcare systems in New Jersey, is seeking a seasoned pediatric surgeon to become Section Chief, Pediatric Surgery at Atlantic Health Goryeb Children’s Hospital, the flagship children’s facility of Atlantic Health. The Section of Pediatric Surgery specializes in a comprehensive range of surgical procedures, including thoracic, oncologic, neonatal, and emergency surgeries. The Section is part of the Department of Surgery, which hosts a free‑standing residency training program in general surgery and actively engages in the education of medical students from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. Atlantic Health Goryeb Children’s Hospital serves as a regional campus for clinical rotations, reflecting a commitment to fostering the future of healthcare through comprehensive training and academic involvement. Atlantic Health Goryeb Children’s Hospital at Atlantic Health Morristown is a renowned children’s facility and the only one with a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and a staff of pediatric anesthesiologists. The pediatric surgeons receive transfer patients from all Atlantic Health hospitals and other community hospitals in the region. The hospital offers state‑of‑the‑art facilities and advanced technology, with a large staff of pediatric specialists and a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to adolescents. Salary Range: $600,000–$660,000 base salary only; excludes any quality and/or productivity incentives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be Board Certified in Pediatric Surgery Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey Demonstrated success working individually and as part of a team for a minimum of 10 years Experience in thoracic and/or oncologic pediatric surgery is preferred
