Oncology Infusion Nurse

Shift Information:

Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years

Job Description

The Oncology Infusion Nurse will primarily work in the Infusion Room, providing care to patients receiving chemotherapy and other supportive therapies. Responsibilities include administering intravenous medication such as blood products and anti-neoplastics. Candidates must hold a valid RN license, as the majority of medications will be administered intravenously.

Additional responsibilities may include assisting in the laboratory by drawing labs from subcutaneous portacaths, removing home infusion pumps, and performing central line dressing changes. Availability to switch roles between the Infusion Room and the lab will be based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Experience in outpatient oncology infusion preferred
ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification required for Infusion Room assignments

Weekend/Call Requirements: None
