Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist supporting students across varying grade levels, with a strong emphasis on the Transition age group (20–22-year-olds). This short-term assignment runs from August 17th through November 4th and is based onsite near Aurora, IL. You’ll play an essential role in fostering student independence and growth through educationally focused physical therapy, helping students achieve their fullest potential.

Key Requirements:

• Active Illinois Physical Therapist license
• Previous pediatric experience
• Prior experience in a school-based setting
• Strong communication and collaborative skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Flexibility and adaptability to support a mixed-age caseload, focusing on both younger students and transitioning young adults

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver educationally related physical therapy services for special education students according to their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Assess students’ gross motor skills and develop interventions that promote skill acquisition or compensate for deficits
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes
• Provide guidance for adaptations and modifications to help students access the school environment
• Collaborate regularly with educators, related service providers, families, and other team members
