Make a difference in students' lives as a dedicated Occupational Therapist on a full-time contract assignment. Situated near Aurora, IL, this opportunity allows you to work Monday through Friday, gaining valuable experience in both elementary and high school settings. With the benefit of a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting you, you’ll be able to focus on delivering the best possible care and interventions for students.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience in a school-based environment preferred
• Capable of managing a diverse caseload split between elementary and high school populations
• Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with a COTA and other educational staff
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans to improve their educational access and participation
• Provide direct occupational therapy services as outlined in IEPs
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to generalize therapeutic strategies in the classroom
• Supervise and collaborate with the on-site COTA to ensure cohesive and productive service delivery
• Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with school and state guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary teams
