Job Description Job Description Logistics Coordinator Alternate/Related Job Titles: Shipping Coordinator, Transportation Scheduler, Supply Chain Clerk First Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM), Monday – Friday Contract Details: Hourly Rate: $16.00/hour Job Summary: The Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in managing shipping logistics to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders. This position supports the shipping supervisor with truck scheduling and coordinates with production and inventory teams to maintain an efficient logistics flow. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Key Responsibilities: Manage daily shipment and delivery activities for customer orders. Coordinate closely with Production and Inventory teams to ensure product availability. Create shipping documents including bills of lading, manifests, and load documentation. Schedule transportation per customer routing guides using retail transportation systems. Maintain accurate shipment records in Oracle and ensure all notes are up-to-date. Communicate regularly with customer transportation departments and carriers. Perform clerical tasks as needed to support logistics and operations. Required Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred). Proficient in data entry, Microsoft Excel, and Word. Nice-to-Have Experience: Prior work in logistics, shipping, or supply chain coordination. Experience with UPS, FedEx, or RF scanning equipment. Exposure to lean manufacturing environments. Required Skills: Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Effective communication and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with Oracle ERP system. Skilled in navigating customer transportation portals and routing systems. Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities. Judgment and decision-making under pressure. Physical Requirements: Ability to remain seated and use a computer for extended periods (50%+ of shift). Occasional bending, stooping, and lifting (typically under 10 lbs). Good manual dexterity and vision capabilities required. Work Environment: Climate-controlled office with moderate noise levels.
