You'll help customers understand their vehicle's needs, recommend appropriate services, and keep them informed throughout the repair process.Your responsibilities will include:Deliver outstanding customer service: Greet customers promptly, listen to their concerns, and create a professional, welcoming service experience.Manage service appointments: Schedule appointments, gather customer and vehicle information, and prepare accurate repair orders.Conduct vehicle walk-arounds: Review vehicle condition and document customer concerns to ensure nothing is overlooked.Recommend maintenance and repairs: Review service history, identify additional needs, and explain manufacturer-recommended maintenance and necessary repairs.Present estimates and sell services: Prepare accurate estimates, explain labor and parts costs, and obtain customer authorization before work begins.Communicate throughout the repair process: Keep customers updated on repair progress, additional recommendations, costs, and expected completion times.Work closely with technicians: Coordinate repair priorities, monitor workflow, and help ensure customer concerns are properly addressed.Review and close repair orders: Verify completed work, ensure all services are documented and authorized, and process repair orders accurately.Build customer loyalty: Maintain strong customer relationships through honesty, professionalism, and consistent follow-through.Maintain an organized workspace: Follow dealership procedures and maintain a clean, professional service area.Meet dealership performance and customer satisfaction goals while maintaining high standards of quality and integrity.The ideal candidate is organized, confident, personable, and comfortable working in a busy automotive service environment.Required qualifications:At least 2 years of automotive Service Advisor or Service Writer experience.Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organization, multitasking, and time management abilities.Ability to explain vehicle repairs, maintenance recommendations, and estimates clearly to customers.Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Professional appearance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.Preferred qualifications:Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram (CDJR) dealership experience.Experience using Reynolds and Reynolds dealership management software.Experience meeting service department sales, productivity, and customer satisfaction goals.We're looking for someone who understands that being a great Service Advisor is about more than writing repair orders.
