Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care. This role requires expertise in various clinical skills and strong interpersonal abilities. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, motivated, and committed to fostering a safe and supportive environment for patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous lines as required.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to emergencies, coordinating with Rapid Response Teams as necessary.
• Administer IV therapy and manage peripheral line care.
• Provide respiratory support, including the use of nasal cannulas, oxygen face masks, and portable oxygen tanks.
• Implement isolation precautions when necessary to ensure patient safety.
• Treat and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions and wounds.

Patient Ratios

• Day/Evening: 5 to 1 (with opportunities to stretch to 6-7 to 1).
• Night: Expected to be 6-7 to 1 (with stretches to 8-10 in cases of staff shortages).

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Registered Nurse license.
• A minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience is required.
• Experience in medical-surgical, telemetry, or emergency departments is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Cardiac monitoring skills and experience with dysrhythmia management are essential.
• Knowledge of EPIC electronic health record system is preferred.
• Must be willing to float to various units, including Medical-Surgical, ICU, and Emergency Department, while adhering to scope of practice.

Schedule Requirements

• Must be available to work every other weekend.
• Open to accommodating block schedules, though not guaranteed.

Additional Information

• Orientation includes a 4-hour classroom session with an educator, followed by on-the-unit training during a 12-hour shift.
• Local candidates (within 75 miles) are not accepted.
• Please limit requests for time off to about one week.
