The Clerical Assistant Basic will provide essential administrative and clerical support to the Division of Healthcare Financing within the Wyoming Department of Health. This temporary position is crucial for maintaining efficient office operations, managing communications, and assisting with basic data management, ensuring smooth day-to-day functions for the division.

Clerical Assistant Basic Details:

• Temporary position
• $17.86 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm )

• Perform routine clerical tasks including accurate filing, copying, and efficient distribution of incoming and outgoing mail
• Act as a primary point of contact, operating a multi-line telephone system and providing professional assistance to walk-in customers
• Execute minor data entry tasks into spreadsheets or established databases, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Utilize standard office software, including Windows operating systems, Google Workspace applications (e.g., Docs, Sheets, Gmail), and email for daily communications and task management

Clerical Assistant Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of twelve (12) months of prior office or administrative experience
• Previous experience in a Mail Clerk role preferred
• Prior experience as a Receptionist preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency in customer service principles and practices
• Basic data entry skills with an eye for detail
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and general word processing packages
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new software and systems
• Business casual dress code is required
• Ability to perform tasks requiring sitting, standing, bending, and occasional lifting
