Job Description Manage civil litigation matters from initial case evaluation through resolution. Develop case strategy, conduct legal research, and provide practical advice to clients. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation documents. Take and defend depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony. Appear in court for hearings, conferences, motions, and trials. Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and case resolution strategy. Prepare cases for trial, including exhibits, witnesses, legal arguments, and overall trial strategy. Communicate directly with clients regarding case developments, risks, and recommended next steps. Collaborate with partners, associates, and support professionals on complex litigation matters. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school. Connecticut Bar admission required. Civil litigation or trial experience preferred, although we are flexible on seniority. Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills. Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities effectively. Experience with motions, discovery, depositions, hearings, or trials is highly valued.
