Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description Job Title: Accounts Receivable (AR) Representative Location: Charlotte, Hybrid, requiring 2 to 3 days in the office Job Type: Full-time Providence Anesthesiology Associates is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Representative to join our team. The AR Representative will be responsible for timely and accurate insurance follow-up and claims denial management in accordance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have over one year of experience in healthcare/medical accounts receivable and strong problem-solving skills. Responsibilities: Perform daily AR tasks, including aging reports, denial management, and credit balance resolution, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for multiple clients. Identify and correct billing errors, resubmit claims, and initiate appeals with commercial and government payers as needed. Analyze and resolve reimbursement discrepancies, reporting issues, trends, and discrepancies to the AR Supervisor while assisting with solutions. Research payer requirements, communicate with insurance carriers, and implement procedures to optimize collections in compliance with federal and state regulations. Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards and support additional duties as assigned within the scope of responsibility.
