Accounts Payable Clerk

Vaco is partnering with one of our clients in San Diego to identify an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 1 year of accounts payable experience who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys working with invoices, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently Review, verify, and enter invoices into the accounting system Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries Maintain vendor records and ensure accurate account information Assist with weekly check runs, ACH payments, and payment processing Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding issues Support month-end close activities and AP reporting Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely invoice approvals Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable records Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of Accounts Payable or invoice processing experience Experience working in a high-volume invoice processing environment preferred Strong data entry skills with excellent attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Experience with an ERP or accounting system is a plus Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment By submitting to this position, you are agreeing to be included in our talent pool for future hiring for similarly qualified positions.
