Emergency Department Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 Hour Night Shifts (19:30 - 08:00), every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our night shift team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of emergency nursing experience, with a focus on providing quality care in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in the EPIC charting system is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:4, up to 5 with lower acuity patient groups.
• Utilize advanced medical equipment and technology specific to emergency care.
• Perform assessments, administer treatments, and coordinate care plans for patients of all ages.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient management.
• Participate in patient education and advocacy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3 years of Emergency Department experience required; travel experience preferred.
• Active RN license in Maryland or compact state.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI, TNCC.
• Experience with patient care in a Level II Trauma Center.
