Service Operations Manager

Ziegler CAT has an opening for a Service Operations Manager that will lead the service departments for the branch and is responsible for ensuring safety, customer satisfaction and profitability. The ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate about developing and leading a successful team of employees and someone who has a strong business acumen, passionate for driving strong business results. Responsibilities: Responsible for safe and productive working environment of the shops Maintain a strong department safety, cleanliness, and branch consistency culture Implement and maintain procedures to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations Partner and coach Shop Supervisors on spending time on the floor coaching and building rapport with Technicians Support Shop Supervisors through problem solving with issues/challenges involving customers, employees, equipment, etc. Partner with sales personnel to effectively build relationships and support future sales Maintain the facility and reinforce established practices and procedures to Ziegler standards Visit customers with sales personnel Maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction through communication, professionalism and urgency before, during and after the sale Help recruit and hire branch personnel including visiting local recruiting and technical college events Manage workforce to ensure maximum productivity and effectiveness through mentoring and appropriate training opportunities Analyze performance/financial data and influence profitability through effective process change Evaluate capital tooling needs and assist with justifications Manage goodwill support process Resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner Ensure that all employees are given regular, fair and accurate performance evaluations Work in a cooperative manner with team and superiors Qualifications: 2 or 4 year degree preferred; High school diploma required 4+ years of technical or mechanical knowledge preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead effective teams Knowledge of product line and/or a willingness to continue education on new products required Strong computer and organizational skills required Strong people leader who develops his/her employees through coaching and feedback Strong business acumen and ability to make good and timely decisions for customers and the company Personal Attributes: Creative Thinking, Conflict Management, Customer Focus, Integrity, Planning and Organization Travel: Up to 10% Minimum Physical Requirements: Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing Working Conditions may be indoor and outdoor. Noise level may be moderate at times. The total compensation (base plus incentive) for this position is $111,300.00 to $166,900.00 Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, and education.
