About Hook & Hoof

Going on a decade of business in the heart of downtown Willoughby, Hook & Hoof is a family-owned and operated, annually award-winning scratch kitchen. We pride ourselves on preparing every dish fresh daily with zero use of a freezer. Our chefs and mixologists are dedicated in their commitment to culinary innovation, driven by an unyielding passion for exceptional food and drink.

We are seeking a culinary leader who shares our passion, pride, and motivation to join our core team. This 35-40 hour a week position offers significant opportunities for rapid growth and career advancement for the right individual.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and oversee food production to meet quality standards
  • Inventory management and daily communication with chef de cuisine 
  • Supervise and support kitchen staff during shifts
  • Collaborate on and lead menu planning and recipe development
  • Strict compliance with  health & safety standards 
  • Ensure quality control across all dishes served
  • Maintain kitchen organization and cleanliness
  • Assist shift management and assist coordinate team efforts

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in culinary arts
  • Proficiency in advanced culinary techniques
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen management
  • Skills in inventory control and ordering processes
  • Demonstrated team leadership and communication ability
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Collaboration in creativity in menu development and recipe creation
