General Manager

General Manager – Panera CAFE We are looking for a dedicated General Manager to lead a popular neighborhood bakery‑cafe. The role requires a dynamic leader who will build a culture of Warmth, Belonging, Growth, and Trust, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and manage all aspects of cafe operations. Responsibilities Build and nurture the culture of Warmth, Belonging, Growth, and Trust. Act as an ambassador for Panera’s Guiding Values and Behaviors. Own all aspects of leading, managing, and developing the team. Plan and manage staffing needs, shift scheduling, and people development. Lead ongoing training, coaching, and creative problem‑solving. Hire, train, and retain new team members. Manage team performance to meet cafe goals and quality standards. Develop subject‑matter experts within the cafe. Recognize and celebrate individual and team achievements. Ensure consistent delivery of high‑quality operations and service. Maintain and continually improve operational standards. Motivate the team to meet and exceed cafe goals. Adhere to cafe systems, processes, policies, and regulations. Ensure food safety and a healthy, safe workplace. Grow sales, maximize profitability, and manage associate labor. Maintain cafe costs and inventory. Qualifications Three years management experience (preferred). Proven ability to direct, motivate, coach, and develop others in a fast‑paced environment. Demonstrated ability to drive positive results and run great shifts. Understanding of the business and ServSafe certification. Minimum age 18 years. Strong communication skills and a passion for working with people. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple priorities. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Commitment to health and food safety.
