Commercial Real Estate Associate Relationship Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a Commercial Real Estate Associate Relationship Manager to join the CRE team of a commercial banking institution in New York. This role will support loan origination and client management across the Northeast and Southeast CRE markets, with exposure to transaction structuring, underwriting, credit, and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare pre-screens for new CRE transactions by analyzing property financials, sponsor financials, business plans, and market data
\n
• Assist in sizing and structuring new transactions and complex refinancings
\n
• Draft term sheets and support Relationship Managers throughout deal negotiations
\n
• Review appraisals and other due diligence reports and identify potential issues or concerns
\n
• Prepare and assist with credit applications and transaction analysis
\n
• Coordinate with Credit Underwriters and Credit Officers to facilitate client credit needs
\n
• Work with third-party consultants, attorneys, and other vendors throughout the transaction process
\n
• Assist with loan closings and facilitate the flow of legal documentation
\n
• Attend property inspections and client meetings alongside Relationship Managers
\n
• Support origination pipeline management, portfolio reporting, activity reports, and relationship plans
\n

Qualifications:

\n
• Minimum 2 years of relevant Commercial Real Estate finance experience
\n
• Strong CRE underwriting, financial analysis, and financial modeling skills
\n
• Understanding of CRE lending, transaction structuring, and the credit process
\n
• Strong quantitative, writing, and analytical skills
\n
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
\n
• Experience with hospitality and residential condominium projects is a plus
\n
• Ground-up construction lending experience is a plus
\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
\n
