Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, providing flexibility while still allowing you to engage meaningfully with clients. However, you will also have the opportunity to work in our outpatient office located in Mission Viejo, California, should you prefer an in-person environment. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' emotional and behavioral issues, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to develop targeted treatment plans.

• Provide crisis intervention to clients in distress, employing techniques that facilitate immediate support and stabilization.
\n
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical documentation and progress notes as mandated by organizational guidelines, ensuring the confidentiality and privacy of all clients.

• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to refine treatment strategies, including effective discharge planning that takes into account psychosocial evaluations.

• Engage with community resources and liaise with local organizations, representing Mindful Therapy & Wellness at pertinent meetings and committees to advocate for the social and mental health needs of our clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LMFT will primarily work with adults, children, and families dealing with a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, behavior issues, and substance abuse. Our focus on culturally competent care seeks to affirm the identities and experiences of each client, fostering a safe and inclusive atmosphere for healing and growth.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.

• An active and valid license to practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California is mandatory.

• A minimum of three years of therapeutic experience in crisis counseling is required, preferably within an outpatient setting.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong analytical and organizational problem-solving abilities.

• A demonstrated capacity to understand and follow established policies, procedures, and protocols, while exercising sound judgment in high-pressure situations.

Preferred Experience\n
