Our Hamilton, Washington facility specializes in manufacturing and machining large, complex composite and metallic structures for the aerospace and space exploration markets.The Manufacturing Engineer supports the production processes associated with machining, composite fabricating, finishing and assembling composite tooling, metallic tooling or production parts. This includes basic research and development, process optimization, design and testing duties in an AS9100 Certified facility.The following essential job functions are performed:Maintains an overview of production processes and facilities and work with Management and Production personnel to develop and implement improvements for optimal resultsAssists with creating and managing new production processes/procedures to better aid in the completion of composite tooling and/or resolve any problems that may have occurred during the production of the toolAs Research and Design develops new technology, the ME reissues and/or reconstructs production processes in order to implement new technologyPlans and coordinates standard manufacturing processes on the Production Floor Aides with recording test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data and recommendations for changes in product or test methodWorks with Project Managers to identify and mitigate risk in the production processMust be able to comply with Safety, 5S, AS9100 and Nadcap Standards and PracticesDevelops detailed Production Build Plan packages based upon customer process specifications and engineering drawingsConfers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or partsFiles, retrieves and maintains engineering drawings, records, revisions and updates, as neededDrafts detail drawings or sketches to convey technical informationMaintains awareness of the project schedule for each project as it moves through the value stream in order to meet key project deadlinesAnalyzes and plans work force utilization, equipment and workspace requirements for maximum efficiencyMust work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlinesMust at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisorsBeing at work on time and maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the jobPerform other duties as assignedBasic Qualifications:Due to ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3). This position may require the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed.Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreement to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, isometric drawings, work orders, written procedures, and other technical documentationAbility to read and interpret drawings, follow process instructions, and monitor machine controllersConsistent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workEffective verbal and written communication skills in EnglishPreferred Qualifications:A Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering/Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Composite/Material Science, Industrial Design Technology, or a similar field is requiredMust be familiar with Microsoft Office products and SAP; some experience with Catia and Unigraphics is desirableA combination of extensive work experience, (10+ Years) and other education may be substituted for a Bachelor's DegreeMust have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in the English languageMust be familiar with a variety of the fields' concepts, practices and proceduresMust be able to rely on extensive experience, problem-solving skills and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsWage range for this role is between $83,000-$145,000, plus benefits and eligibility for a discretionary bonus.
