Job Overview

We are seeking a Legacy Data Engineer with strong experience in ETL development and legacy data technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Ab Initio, Netezza, Oracle, Python, and PySpark , along with exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as Claude AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and support complex ETL workflows.
• Develop and enhance data integration solutions using Ab Initio .
• Work with Netezza and Oracle databases for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Develop complex SQL queries and perform data analysis and validation.
• Build data processing solutions using Python and PySpark .
• Support legacy data systems, data migration, and modernization initiatives.
• Troubleshoot ETL jobs, data pipelines, and production issues.
• Perform data quality checks and ensure accuracy and consistency of data.
• Optimize ETL processes and data workflows for performance.
• Collaborate with application, database, QA, and business teams.
• Use Claude AI / Generative AI tools where appropriate to improve development and troubleshooting productivity.
• Prepare technical documentation for data processes and solutions.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in ETL/Data Engineering .
• Hands-on experience with Ab Initio .
• Experience with Netezza .
• Strong experience with Oracle and SQL.
• Experience with Python .
• Experience with PySpark .
• Experience working with legacy data environments.
• Strong data analysis and troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of data warehousing and data integration concepts.

Preferred

• Experience with Claude AI or other Generative AI tools.
• Experience with legacy system modernization and migration.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale data platforms.
