REGISTERED BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN (RBT) – Covina, CA Hourly Rate: $25.00 Shifts Needed: Thursday – Monday PM Job Status: Full Time Work Locations: Covina, CA Overview The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) works under the direction of the Administrator providing support and training to adults and children with developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental illness. The RBT assists with daily activities, monitors behavior, collects data, and implements skill‑building plans while ensuring safe and person‑centered care. Responsibilities Ensure the supervision, safety, and well‑being of individuals at all times. Provide continuous active treatment for each individual, including training and service objectives and documentation of the Individual Service Plan (ISP). Participate in development and evaluation of the ISP. Monitor health and well–being, reporting observations to the Administrator or District Manager. Maintain daily documentation of status, behavior, and treatment responses. Help maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing environment. Provide quality training and positive interactions with individuals. Adhere to organizational policies and procedures. Ask questions and learn from colleagues. Promote learning, growth, socialization, and independence of individuals. Assist with development of daily, therapeutic, leisure, and recreational activities inside and outside the home. Ensure individuals engage in meaningful activities both at home and in community settings. Dress according to the dress code and safety requirements. Attend staff meetings, continuing education, and training sessions. Develop relationships with other departments, staff, and external agencies. Go above and beyond for individuals and staff with whom the RBT interacts. Perform other related duties and assignments as required. Current Registered Behavior Technician certification. Direct Support Professional I and II certificates (Title 17). Certification in Professional Crisis Management (PCM) or an approved emergency intervention program. Background in ABA and ability to develop task analysis. At least two years of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities. Physical Requirements Mostly indoor residential/office setting with occasional outdoor work. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, crouch, twist, squat, reach, pull, read, walk, drive, and perform repetitive motions.
