Position: Licensed Behavioral Health Intake Therapist (LMSW/LLP/LPC)
Location: Southgate, MI
Shift: Evenings (4:00 PM – 12:00 AM | Mon–Thu, Fri till 11 PM + occasional Saturdays)

Salary: $29.47 – $39.88/hour (based on experience) + Benefits

Employment Type: Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking a licensed Intake Therapist to join a Behavioral Health Urgent Care team. This role focuses on conducting intake assessments, crisis evaluation, and connecting individuals to appropriate mental health services in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and complete documentation within 48 hours
• Utilize motivational interviewing and person-centered planning approaches
• Develop safety plans and initial treatment recommendations
• Coordinate referrals for psychological testing and additional services
• Engage individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities
• Participate in team meetings, supervision, and case consultations
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

✅ Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling
• Active Michigan full licensure (LMSW, LLP, or LPC)
• Minimum 1+ year post-Master’s clinical experience
• Experience working with:
• • Severe mental illness (SMI)
  • Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (IDD)
  • Children, adolescents, and families
• Ability to obtain QMHP, CMHP, QIDP within 120 days
• Must obtain or be working toward CAADC certification
• Strong communication and crisis intervention skills

• Background in behavioral health intake or emergency psychiatry
