Registered Nurse - OB GYN Night Shift

Location: Ottumwa, IA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 19:00 - 07:00

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in OB GYN to join our team. As an RN in this role, you will provide high-quality care to patients in an obstetrical setting, ensuring that both mothers and infants receive the best possible support during labor and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the OB GYN unit, including labor support and delivery.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and fetal heart rates.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and care plans.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in the electronic health record system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse preferred, with travel experience considered.
• Must hold an active Iowa RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required.
• Completion of mandatory reporter certification for child and adult required.
• Submit to a comprehensive 10-panel drug screening.
• Proof of vaccination titers (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB) within the last 12 months required.
