NJESL Eligible Hourly Rate: $17.00 Requirements
- REQUIRED: MUST CLEAR HOSPITAL PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENING PRIOR TO ONBOARDING.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Wellness and Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) training is preferred.
- Experience providing peer support and a commitment to helping others..
- Excellent communication, assessment, and interpersonal skills.
- Empathetic with good listening skills, patient and emotionally resilient.
- Willingness to disclose and speak openly about current or prior use of mental health and substance use.
- Ability to work with individuals with mental illness in a caring and professional manner.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Bilingual skills are preferred/ a plus.
- Valid NJ Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
- Lived Experience: CSPNJ prioritizes hiring people who use their own life experience dealing with mental health/substance use issues to inspire and support others.
