Job Description

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including physical examinations and comprehensive reviews of medical histories
• Assist in the assessment and diagnosis of surgical conditions through the evaluation of imaging studies and laboratory results
• Collaborate intimately with surgeons to devise and implement customized surgical treatment plans for patients
• Provide intraoperative support, including preparing operating rooms, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and efficiently passing surgical instruments during operations
• Deliver outstanding pre-operative and post-operative care, which includes medication administration, wound management, discharge planning, and patient education

Education

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations with a focus on surgery strongly preferred

Certifications

• Current and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certification are required
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant

Skills

• Solid understanding of surgical principles and adherence to sterile technique
• Demonstrated capability to interpret diagnostic tests and contribute to complex clinical decisions
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to excel in high-pressure environments, particularly during surgical cases
