Full Time, Experienced, Surgical Scheduler needed ASAP for a busy Colorectal Surgery private practice.

Responsibilities include all aspects of surgical scheduling including obtaining insurance authorization, communicating with patients, and coordinating with primary care providers and the surgical center/hospital in order to successfully schedule colonoscopies, minor surgeries and major operations. Job duties will also include supporting the office staff by answering calls, directly communicating with patients, scheduling office appointments for the callers, insurance verification, creating new electronic charts, electronic posting of copays/coinsurances, reviewing accounts, discussing, collecting and posting payments, electronic filing/scanning, faxing, learning and implementing office protocols, assisting your team members and completing assigned tasks.

You MUST have paid experience scheduling surgical procedures -- NO exceptions. YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST 2 YEARS OF PAID EXPERIENCE to apply and interview. You will be trained to use EHR software but must already be familiar with all the basic elements and proper use of Microsoft Office, Gmail, Gmail Docs, fax machines, copier machines, phones and scanners. You must have your own reliable transportation, be punctual and responsible. Work hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. You will work 40 hours/week.

Our starting pay scale is: $27-29/hr depending on experience.
