Senior Manager, Government Affairs & Policy Communications

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Senior Manager for Government Affairs & Policy Communications to advance the company's policy priorities through strategic external communications. Based in New Brunswick or Washington D.C., the role involves developing communications strategies, managing media relationships, and coordinating cross-functional alignment on emerging policy topics.
Responsibilities
- Develop external communications strategies responding to policy and government inquiries
- Produce communications materials including statements, talking points, press releases, and digital content
- Build relationships with media outlets, particularly policy-focused and political trade publications
- Coordinate internal teams to ensure alignment on messaging for emerging policy topics
- Monitor external communications and media environment related to government affairs priorities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- 8+ years of communications, public affairs, or media relations experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining reporter relationships with policy and industry publications
- Strong cross-functional and global relationship management capabilities
- Proven track record advising senior management on communications strategy
- Experience managing third-party agency relationships
Compensation: $122,000-$212,750 base
