Make history with us.Shift: 1st Shift Pay: $17.65/hourHow You Will Make History Here…As a Packer, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality products to our consumers by ensuring finished goods are accurately packed, inspected, palletized, and prepared for shipment. Your attention to detail, commitment to quality, and focus on safety will help keep production running efficiently while maintaining the standards our consumers expect.What You Will Do…Packaging & Production SupportPrepare cartons and trays for packaging by folding, taping, sorting, labeling, and assembling packaging materials.Verify packaging materials are properly prepared and available for production.Pack products into cartons, trays, and displays according to product specifications.Ensure products are packaged in the correct cases and labeled accurately.Tape and seal cartons when required.Quality & Food SafetyConduct visual inspections of finished products and packaging, including: Bag registrationCode datesPricing informationPackage sealsCase labelingRemove products that do not meet quality standards.Communicate packaging quality concerns to Machine Operators, Group Leaders, or Supervisors.Support food safety and quality standards throughout the packaging process.Palletizing & Material HandlingStack cartons and trays onto pallets using approved stacking patterns.Utilize pallet jacks, when applicable, to move finished products weighing up to 300 pounds.Support product rework activities according to plant procedures.Follow proper lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling techniques.Sanitation, Safety & HousekeepingFollow all safety, food safety, and hygiene policies and procedures.Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with 5S standards.Remove defective packaging materials, waste, and loose product from work areas.Keep aisles, exits, turntables, and packaging areas clean and free from obstructions.Perform sanitation tasks including: Equipment washesSeasoner cleaningsWipeoutsProperly store supplies and packaging materials in designated areas.Report safety concerns, equipment issues, and workplace injuries promptly.Equipment & Operational SupportAssist with production line startups.Support product changeovers and line preparation activities.Operate tray-making and stapling equipment when trained and assigned.Communicate operational issues to production leadership as needed.Additional ResponsibilitiesPerform other duties as assigned.Work mandatory overtime as business needs require.Who You Will Work With…In this role, you will collaborate with:Machine OperatorsGroup LeadersProduction SupervisorsPackaging Team MembersQuality Assurance Team MembersSanitation TeamsWarehouse and Material Handling TeamsTogether, you will help ensure products are packaged safely, efficiently, and according to quality expectations.What You Bring To The Table… (Must Have)High School Diploma or GED and/or one (1) year of manufacturing or production experience.Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.Ability to frequently push, pull, carry, bend, twist, and perform repetitive motions.Ability to frequently lift and handle materials up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Strong communication skills.Ability to work overtime and schedule changes as business needs require.It Would Be Great If You Have… (Nice To Have)Previous packaging, production, warehouse, or manufacturing experience.Experience in a food manufacturing environment.Experience performing product quality inspections.Experience using pallet jacks or material handling equipment.Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety standards, and 5S methodologies.Experience supporting production startups and product changeovers.Experience operating tray-making or other packaging-related equipment.Work EnvironmentManufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical equipment and machinery.Frequent exposure to wet and humid conditions.Occasional exposure to elevated work areas, airborne particles, and cleaning chemicals.Loud production environment requiring adherence to PPE and safety requirements.Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion throughout the shift.Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
