IT Staffing Recruiter (Hybrid / Path to Business Development Manager)

Location: Miramar, FL (Hybrid: 2 days/week on-site, 3 days/week remote)

Position Overview

We are seeking an energetic, ambitious IT Staffing Recruiter to join our growing technology recruitment team serving the South Florida market. This role is ideal for a proactive recruiter who thrives on sourcing top-tier technical talent, building strong candidate relationships, and delivering results—while actively working toward advancing into an Account Executive / Business Development Manager (BDM) position.

In this hybrid role, you will work from our Miramar, FL office two days per week (with three days remote flexibility), sourcing, interviewing, and placing candidates across software engineering, IT infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, data, and technical project management roles. As you master technical recruiting and candidate management, you will receive direct mentorship and a structured pathway to transition into client acquisition and business development.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Recruiting & Talent Sourcing:

• Source, identify, and recruit passive and active IT professionals using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, internal databases, AI-sourcing tools, and networking events.
• Screen, interview, and evaluate candidates against client technical skill requirements, culture fit, and compensation expectations.
• Manage the full candidate lifecycle: initial outreach, technical screening, interview preparation, offer negotiation, and post-placement follow-up.
• Maintain a deep pipeline of South Florida-based and national IT talent across key disciplines (Software Engineering, DevOps, Cloud/AWS/Azure, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, IT Support/Help Desk).

Market Engagement & Candidate Experience:

• Deliver an exceptional candidate experience through clear communication, prompt feedback, and ongoing career advocacy.
• Stay updated on local IT hiring trends, competitive salary benchmarks, and emerging technologies in the South Florida market.

Business Development Career Track (Pathway to BDM):

• Partner closely with Senior Account Managers and BDMs to understand client needs, industry pain points, and account growth strategies.
• Participate in client intake calls, job description breakdowns, and market mapping exercises.
• Gradually assist with candidate marketing ("MPC" - Most Placeable Candidate calls), warm lead generation, and client pitch preparation as you transition toward a full sales role.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 1–3+ years of experience in agency staffing, technical recruiting, or talent acquisition (IT/Technology sector preferred).
• Location: Based in South Florida with the ability to work on-site at our Miramar, FL office 2 days per week .
• Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with IT terminology, roles, and skill sets (e.g., .NET, Java, Python, AWS/Azure, SQL, ERP, Cyber, Infrastructure).
• Sales Aptitude & Ambition: Strong desire to expand your skillset into B2B sales, account management, and client business development.
• Tools & Systems: Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), CRM platforms, and sourcing platforms (LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Monster, Dice).
• Communication & Negotiation: Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; comfortable negotiating compensation packages and bill rates.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
