Payroll Manager

We're partnering with a growing, multi-location organization to identify a Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations across a complex, multi-state environment. This is a highly visible leadership position responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance, managing a small team, and partnering closely with HR and Finance. The individual would be handing employees across multiple entities and locations. Key Responsibilities: Oversee end-to-end payroll operations for a large, multi-state workforce Lead and develop a small payroll team Ensure payroll compliance with federal and state regulations Partner with HR, Accounting, and leadership on payroll-related initiatives Identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency Support future payroll technology enhancements and potential system implementations Ideal Background: Experience managing multi-state payroll operations Previous leadership or supervisory experience Strong knowledge of payroll compliance and payroll tax regulations Experience supporting large, multi-entity organizations Hands-on, detail-oriented professional with excellent communication skills Preferred Experience: Healthcare, medical, or other highly regulated industries Complex compensation structures, incentives, or variable pay environments Payroll platforms such as Paycom, Workday, ADP, UKG, or similar Payroll system implementation or conversion experience This opportunity offers the chance to make an immediate impact within a stable and growing organization while partnering closely with executive leadership.
