About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Development to join its Strategy and Corporate Development team. This senior leadership role is pivotal in driving the organization's inorganic growth strategy through high-stakes acquisitions, equity investments, divestitures, and joint ventures. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle of M&A, from strategic deal origination to execution, and will be expected to lead high-priority projects, generate new growth ideas, and develop target investment profiles. A key aspect of the role is to partner closely with global business unit leaders to ensure that M&A activities align with and accelerate the company's growth objectives. Candidates for this role at the company should be big-picture strategic thinkers with the ability to connect macro industry dynamics to specific deal opportunities. The role requires a professional with a strong educational background, including a Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred), and 8-12 years' of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or corporate development, with a focus on M&A. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading strategic transactions, particularly in the payments, financial technology, or enterprise technology sectors. Key competencies include strategic thinking, financial acumen, executive presence, market connectivity, and cross-functional partnership. The right person for this role will be a dealmaker, a strategic advisor, and an excellent communicator, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and build proactive relationships in the market.
