The Organization

Our client, a well-established and growing mechanical contracting organisation, is seeking a President to lead the company through its next phase of strategic growth.
The Role

The organisation operates multiple divisions under one brand, including residential services, retrofit and renovation work, and commercial/industrial construction. The President will oversee these business units while aligning leadership teams, strengthening operational performance, and driving long-term strategic growth. This role requires a visionary yet hands-on leader who can balance strategic planning, strong people leadership, and operational execution.
Core Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the company's long-term strategic vision
• Alignment: Align multiple divisions and leadership teams under a unified operating strategy
• Expansion Opportunities: Identify opportunities for expansion, new service lines, and market growth
• Scalability: Position the company for long-term scalability and sustained success
• Operational Leadership: Oversee day-to-day leadership across multiple business units
• Performance Metrics: Establish performance metrics and accountability structures across divisions
• Efficiency Improvement: Drive operational efficiency, profitability, and process improvement
• Consistent Execution: Ensure consistent execution across residential, retrofit, and commercial operations
• Team Development: Build, mentor, and strengthen the executive leadership team
• Recruitment: Recruit and develop high-performing leaders throughout the organisation
• Collaborative Culture: Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on accountability and growth
• Visible Leadership: Serve as a visible and engaged leader across all divisions
• Client Relationships: Maintain and strengthen relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders
• Strategic Representation: Represent the company in strategic client interactions and industry engagements
• Business Development: Support business development and growth initiatives
• Financial Management: Partner with finance leadership to ensure strong financial management
• Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth and operational profitability
• Investment Evaluation: Evaluate strategic investments and growth opportunities

Requirements

• Experience: 15+ years of leadership experience in construction or mechanical contracting

• Track Record: Proven track record of scaling organisations and improving operational performance
• Financial Capabilities: Strong financial and business management capabilities

• Industry Experience: Mechanical contracting
• HVAC Experience: HVAC / plumbing construction
