Iron Core Rentals is seeking a highly motivated Outside Sales Representative to support the growth of our Sonora, California branch. This role is ideal for a self-driven sales professional who enjoys building relationships, visiting customer job sites, and developing new business opportunities throughout the region.

As the face of Iron Core Rentals in the field, you'll spend the majority of your time meeting with contractors, municipalities, industrial clients, and local businesses to understand their equipment needs and provide rental solutions that keep their projects moving. You'll work closely with the Sonora yard team to ensure seamless communication between customers and operations while driving long-term customer retention and revenue growth.

The ideal candidate is energetic, strategic, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and understands that consistent follow-up and relationship management are the foundation of successful B2B sales.

Compensation

Base Salary + Commission

Compensation:

$40,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

• Develop and grow Iron Core Rentals' customer base throughout the Sonora and surrounding markets.

• Travel daily to customer offices, construction sites, industrial facilities, and job sites to build relationships and generate new business.

• Prospect and identify new B2B customers through networking, cold calling, referrals, and in-person visits.

• Build long-term relationships that drive repeat business and customer retention.

• Conduct equipment consultations and recommend rental solutions based on project requirements.

• Generate rental quotes and coordinate with the Sonora yard to ensure equipment availability and timely delivery.

• Maintain regular communication with Operations to ensure exceptional customer service from quote through equipment return.

• Perform proactive follow-ups before, during, and after rentals to maximize customer satisfaction and repeat business.

• Develop strategic territory plans focused on long-term account growth.

• Maintain accurate CRM records, customer notes, pipeline activity, and sales forecasts.

• Represent Iron Core Rentals at networking events, trade shows, and industry functions.

• Stay informed on local construction activity, upcoming projects, and competitive market trends.

• Meet or exceed monthly sales objectives and revenue goals.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Education & Experience That Prepare You for Success

• Minimum of 3 years of B2B outside sales experience , preferably within the construction, heavy equipment rental, industrial services, or related industries.

• Demonstrated success in prospecting, developing new business, and growing customer accounts.

• Proven experience managing a sales territory independently.

• Experience using CRM software to manage customer relationships and sales opportunities.

• Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to drive extensively throughout the assigned sales territory on a daily basis.

• Ability to walk active construction sites, equipment yards, and customer facilities while adhering to all required safety protocols.

• Ability to climb steps, ladders, or access equipment when necessary to inspect rental units or demonstrate equipment features.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during customer visits, job site inspections, trade shows, and networking events.

• Occasionally lift or carry marketing materials, brochures, or equipment accessories weighing up to 25 pounds .

• Ability to safely enter and exit pickup trucks and commercial vehicles multiple times throughout the day.

• Frequent use of computers, tablets, smartphones, and other mobile devices for CRM updates, quoting, scheduling, and customer communications.

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while visiting customer locations and job sites.
