Founded in 1925 Dignity Health - Mercy General Hospital is a 310-bed acute care nonprofit hospital located in Sacramento California. Serving over 100000 patients annually the hospital offers a full complement of services including heart care cancer care womens health and neurology. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Nurse Manager of Outpatient Services youll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care LTC or nursing homes adds tremendous value to our nursing team.

Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential which aligns with your departments operational goals and objectives.

To be successful in this role you need to be accountable and confident. Youre an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. Its also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit.

Supervises nursing staff assigned to a particular shift. Assigns patients to available nursing staff taking into consideration the patients condition and the employees skill level.
Assesses monitors and educates the nursing staff on patient care. Institutes emergency procedures as necessary.
Anticipates staffing needs and moves proactively to respond to them.
Oversees stocking of supplies and updating patient records to ensure that the nursing floor is ready for subsequent shifts.

We are offering a $15000 Sign-on Bonus to new hires who meet the eligbility requirements.

Job Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent education and experience
Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience
One (1) year of leadership experience
Registered Nurse: CA
BLS through the American Heart Association (AHA)
ACLS through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred

OR circulating RN experience within an acute care setting
