Travel Physical Therapist - Outpatient

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with acute care experience for a 13-week travel assignment requiring prior travel experience.

Job Details

• Primarily outpatient clinic setting with monthly weekend coverage in the acute care setting,
• 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM,
• Weekend coverage required once per month in the acute setting,
• Epic charting system experience preferred,
• May be required to work one holiday per 13-week contract in rotation with staff,
• Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks,

Job Requirements

• Virginia PT license required (does not need to be in hand at time of submission),
• License required if applicable,
• BLS certification required; ARRT(R) also listed,
• DPT or Master's degree in Physical Therapy required,
• Outpatient clinic and acute care experience required,
• Approximately 1 year of travel experience preferred,
• Skills in orthopedic assessment and treatment including gait training, joint mobilization, taping, and manual therapy techniques,
• Experience with modalities such as e-stim, ultrasound, TENS, and cryotherapy,
• Familiarity with documentation including evaluations, plans of care, and discharge summaries,
• Experience with adaptive and assistive devices, gait belts, and standard mobility equipment,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and documentation across outpatient and acute settings,
• Patient population includes orthopedic, geriatric, neurologic, and post-surgical cases,
• Not open to first-time travelers,
• Local candidates are not accepted,
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be considered eligible for the travel assignment,
• Previous employees must have a break of at least one year before returning as a traveler,
• All RTO requests must be submitted with the initial application
