Job Description
Title
Surgical Technician - Endoscopy

Schedule
4-10 hour shifts per week with rotating call

Assignment Details
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40

Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
- Registered with DORA as a Surgical Technologist in the state required
- Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) Associates Program and/or Advanced Associates Program required
- Current IAHCSMM Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) Certification required
- 2 years of Endoscopic experience required
- Advanced Case Endo experience required

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist nursing staff and physicians during procedures by efficiently managing equipment related to endoscopic needs
- Disinfect and process endoscopic equipment, assisting with troubleshooting as required
- Set up rooms for procedures and transport patients as needed
- Stock rooms with necessary supplies and equipment
- Assist patients with dressing and ambulation as directed by nursing staff
- Apply EKG monitors, BP cuffs, and pulse oximetry prior to the start of cases
