Endoscopy/GI Tech

Description Valley View Hospital is seeking an Endoscopy Technician experienced in advanced endoscopy to assist providers with high-level, complex cases. Responsibilities Assist nursing staff and physicians during procedures. Efficiently run endoscopic equipment. Disinfect and process endoscopic equipment. Assist with troubleshooting equipment. Set up procedure rooms. Transport patients as needed. Stock rooms with supplies and equipment. Assist patients with dressing and ambulation as directed by nursing staff. Apply EKG monitors, BP cuff, and pulse oximetry prior to start of case. Requirements BLS endorsement by the American Heart Association with card in-hand before start date. At least one year of endoscopy technician experience. Advanced case endoscopy experience highly preferred. Registered with DORA as a Surgical Tech prior to starting. GI Technical Specialist (GTS) advanced certification issued by SGNA, or to be obtained within 6 months. IAHCSMM Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) certification obtained within two years of hire. Availability to take rotating call. We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we are not able to sponsor visas. Compensation

• 23.88–$35.12 per hour, starting wage dependent on experience, education, and certifications.
• 2.25 per hour evening shift differential (minimum 4 consecutive hours between 3:00 pm–11:30 pm).
• 4.00 per hour night shift differential (minimum 4 consecutive hours between 11:00 pm–7:30 am).
• 2.25 per hour weekend differential (minimum 5 consecutive hours between 7:00 pm on Friday and 7:00 am on Sunday).
