Registered Respiratory Therapist

Location: Berlin, VT

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts with self-scheduling options and weekend requirements every other weekend.

Job Description: The Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care in a critical care environment, managing ventilators and delivering therapies as per established protocols. Responsibilities include external transports for critical care patients and RT driven protocols for bronchodilator therapy, hyperinflation, airway clearance, and NIV therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy to all age groups, including neonates and pediatrics.
• Manage mechanical ventilation protocols for ICU patients.
• Administer bronchodilator therapy and perform airway clearance techniques.
• Monitor and evaluate patient respiratory status and adjust treatments as necessary.
• Collaborate with pulmonary critical care physicians and hospitalists to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Current certifications in RRT, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required.
• Prior experience in neonatal and pediatric care is preferred.
• EPIC documentation experience required within the last 2 years.
