Surgical Technologist

The Surgical Technician plays a vital role in the perioperative team, assisting during surgical procedures under RN supervision to ensure patient safety and effective care. Key responsibilities include maintaining a sterile environment through asepsis principles, preparing and organizing supplies and equipment, performing sterilization and disinfection of surgical instruments, and assisting with patient positioning and equipment setup. They ensure compliance with safety, legal, and departmental policies, and participate in room turnover and sterilization documentation. Qualifications required are a Certificate or Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology , with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience as a surgical technologist is preferred. Essential skills include technical proficiency in surgical procedures, judgment, knowledge of asepsis, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
