Vaco Indianapolis has partnered with a client in downtown Indianapolis in search of a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. This is a full time position, working on a hybrid schedule (2-3 days remote per week). If you feel you would be a good fit, apply today!
Key Responsibilities
- Process high volumes of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Perform three-way matching between purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.
- Review, validate, and code invoices for approval and payment.
- Manage and monitor a high-volume AP inbox, prioritizing and responding to vendor and internal inquiries.
- Reconcile discrepancies related to pricing, quantities, receiving documents, and vendor statements.
- Coordinate weekly check runs and assist with check printing activities.
- Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
- Partner with operations, purchasing, and receiving teams to resolve invoice and PO-related issues.
- Maintain AP records and documentation in accordance with company policies and audit requirements.
- Assist leadership with identifying opportunities for process improvements and workflow efficiencies.
- Support month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and reporting as needed.
