Accounts Payable Specialist

Vaco Indianapolis has partnered with a client near Greenwood, IN in search of a contract AP Specialist. This person will be working on a hybrid schedule. The contract is set to last 2-3 months, potentially longer.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor the Accounts Payable inbox, responding to vendor inquiries and routing invoices appropriately.
- Review, code, and process vendor invoices using established procedures and reference materials.
- Route invoices through the approval workflow
- Verify invoice details and ensure proper coding to General Ledger accounts.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, including validating billing locations and account assignments.
- Prepare and process ACH payments.
- Maintain accurate AP records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with vendor communication regarding invoice status and payment inquiries.
- Utilize Excel and internal tracking tools to manage AP activities and maintain organization.
- Support the accounting team with additional AP-related tasks as needed.
