Commercial Litigation Attorney

Position Position: Commercial Litigation Attorney Location: Hybrid in Miami, Boca Raton, Orlando, Jacksonville, or Tampa Practice Group: Commercial Litigation (FL) Position Overview If you possess a strong work ethic and want to work in a Commercial litigation practice group, this may be the opportunity for you! This is a hybrid position in any of our Florida offices: Miami, Boca Raton, Tampa, Orlando, or Jacksonville. Job Requirements Florida bar license in good standing JD from an ABA-approved law school 2-10+ years of civil defense litigation experience, preferably in Commercial Litigation, Business Litigation, Breach of Contract Actions, Breach of Fiduciary Duty Cases, Professional Negligence Actions, Derivative Actions, or Tortious Interference Experience managing up to 30 cases at once, taking and defending depositions, appearance in court, drafting motions and discovery; mediation and trial experience a plus; mentoring junior associates a plus Computer skills: basic knowledge of computer operation, internet software, spreadsheet software, and word processing; Microsoft products preferred Self-motivated, able to work independently, with strong client communication skills Oral communication: clear, persuasive, and able to participate effectively in meetings Written communication: clear and accurate writing, proofreading, and ability to present data Temperament: ability to work with little supervision, prioritize work, and meet deadlines Ethics: maintain client and firm confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical rules Job Responsibilities Draft/review and respond to petitions/complaints, motions, and written discovery Attend hearings and meetings with clients Prepare for and attend depositions Assist with preparation for and participation in mediation and trial Willingness and ability to bill Other duties as assigned What We Offer One-on-one mentorship and training by Partners Salary range commensurate with depth and years of experience Quarterly bonuses based on billable hours Annual performance reviews with potential for salary increases Remote or hybrid work environment Medical Insurance with multiple plans; employee- pay for some plans; mental health services included with no copays Optional Dental & Vision Insurance Optional Voluntary Life and Disability Insurance Optional Voluntary Accident Insurance Optional Critical Illness, Cancer, and Hospitalization Insurance Optional Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Account 401k after one calendar year of employment Paid time off (PTO) and a collegial work environment Perks such as Bagel Fridays, Free Snacks, Cuban Coffee (Miami office) Social events and firm-wide activities About Lydecker Founded in 2003, Lydecker is a growing AV-rated full-service national law firm with almost 140 attorneys in twenty-three offices across the nation.
