Experience a rewarding opportunity making a real impact in the lives of students as a valued paraprofessional. Dedicated support is needed in the Gettysburg area for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract role offers a meaningful way to use your talents, working closely with students and teachers to foster academic and personal growth.

Three motivated paraprofessionals are needed to fill essential positions:

• Personalized support (PCA, 1:1) for an elementary student with Down syndrome in a life skills classroom
• Paraprofessional for a high school emotional support classroom
• Paraprofessional for a high school life skills classroom

Caseloads will be matched to your skills and interests, providing opportunities to make a daily difference.

Desired Qualifications:

• At least one year of experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting
• Paraprofessional certificate or a minimum of 48 college credits, or an associate’s degree or higher; those without proper certification must be willing to obtain their para cert within 60 days of hire
• Compassion, patience, and commitment to supporting students’ academic and social-emotional needs
• Comfortable working with students individually or in small groups
• Professional, adaptable, and eager to collaborate with fellow educators

Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in classroom activities, accommodations, and modifications
• Support individualized student learning and behavior plans
• Foster an inclusive, respectful environment geared toward student success
• Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and staff
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold school policies at all times

This position follows the school calendar, offering consistent hours Monday through Friday for 35–37.5 hours per week during the 2026–2027 school year.
