Recovery Coach

Location: West Nyack, NY

Our organization, located in West Nyack, NY, offers a residential treatment program specifically designed for adolescents dealing with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, or Exercise Addiction.

At our facility, we assist adolescents and their families on their journey to complete recovery. We equip each young person with the tools needed to face life's challenges without the burden of an eating disorder. Our approach includes empathy, education, and support for families, recognizing them as essential partners in the recovery process. We aim to help each adolescent replace their eating disorder with healthy coping mechanisms and a profound understanding of how to embrace their unique individuality.

We are currently looking for a Recovery Coach to become part of our dedicated team.

Position Type: Part-Time, preferably on Sundays and Mondays or Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Compensation: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour, based on experience and educational background.

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively support clients throughout their recovery journey.
• Deliver assistance and interventions aligned with each client’s treatment plan.
• Encourage clients to form healthy and appropriate relationships with peers and staff.
• Assist with food preparation and setup; model and supervise client meals and snacks.
• Participate in therapeutic groups and help develop essential skills for clinical growth.
• Conduct rounds and provide observations on client progress.
• Occasionally transport clients off-site for appointments and activities.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of post-secondary education; a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology is preferred.
• At least one year of experience in a mental or behavioral health environment is highly desirable (and may be required in certain states).
• A valid state-issued Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Strong communication and client relations skills, a service-oriented mindset, flexibility, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
