ASCP Certified Cytotechnologist - Full Time Days

Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Cytotechnologist performing primary screening of Non-Gynecological cytology specimens, including fine needle aspiration samples, prior to pathologist review. This role involves routine specimen preparation following established protocols and assisting with fine needle aspiration collection and scheduling.

Prepare and maintain laboratory records to ensure compliance with quality control, quality assurance, and accreditation standards. Engage in light physical activities such as lifting up to 25 pounds and general motions including bending, squatting, reaching, carrying, pushing, and pulling. Demonstrate manual dexterity and clear communication skills. Visual acuity and color discrimination are essential. The position may involve exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials through skin, eye, mucous membrane, or parenteral contact.

Education and Certification

• Required: CT(ASCP) certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology.

Experience

• Preferred: Minimum of three years of experience in cytology.
