Registered Nurse Oncology

Oncology - Registered Nurse (RN)Fulton County Health Center is seeking a dedicated Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our oncology care team. The Staff Nurse will be responsible for coordinating and evaluating the nursing care for a designated group of patients. You will perform various professional nursing duties and supervise the LPN and secretary staff. This role requires a candidate with excellent judgment, innovation, and effective communication skills who is committed to both patient care and personal growth.Key responsibilities include:Coordinate and deliver patient-centered nursing care to oncology patients.Supervise LPN and secretary staff on the patient care team.Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust nursing care as necessary.Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.Ensure adherence to hospital policies, standards of practice, and ethical guidelines.Provide compassionate care and support to patients dealing with cancer diagnoses and treatments.Be flexible in adapting to staffing changes as dictated by patient care needs.Requirements:Current RN license from the State of Ohio Board of Nursing.ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider card (must be obtained and maintained).Pass a written test on the years not renewing ONS card.Knowledge of cancer diagnoses and related complications is required.Two years of nursing experience required; oncology experience preferred, but not required.Strong supervisory and communication skills with a willingness to learn and grow.
