Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting junior high students as an onsite school psychologist. This full-time, contract role is based near Chicago and offers the chance to make a significant impact within a collaborative educational environment. You'll be part of a team dedicated to fostering students' academic, social, and emotional growth while providing essential psychological support.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with school psychologist endorsement
- Experience working with junior high or middle school populations
- Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills
- Excellent communication abilities with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to promoting positive learning outcomes and emotional well-being
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop individualized recommendations for students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create and implement intervention strategies
- Deliver counseling and behavioral support for students in individual and group settings
- Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings, IEP development, and eligibility determinations
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation in compliance with state and district policies
- Provide crisis intervention and contribute to a safe, inclusive school atmosphere
