Make a difference in the lives of K8 students as a contract school psychologist working in-person at two convenient locations in Chicago, IL. This engaging role offers the opportunity to support a caseload of 60 students, collaborating closely with staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to foster student success both academically and emotionally. Qualifications: Masters degree or higher in Psychology or Educational Psychology required Active, valid PEL (Professional Educator License) with School Psychologist Endorsement in Illinois Minimum of 2 years school-based experience as a school psychologist Strong alignment with core values related to equity, integrity, and perseverance for student success Persistent and intentional approach to supporting the individual needs of each student Responsibilities: Identify, prevent, and support academic and social-emotional needs impacting students learning and social interactions Collaborate actively with school-based teams (SPED, 504, MTSS) to ensure timely evaluations and tailored plans Ensure compliance with special education, 504, and MTSS requirements, adhering to all deadlines and regulations Serve as a consultant and intervention leader for Tier 3 scholars, overseeing progress monitoring systems Prepare and present comprehensive reports and participate in eligibility and planning meetings Request and manage confidential records from outside agencies with appropriate authorization Maintain accurate records of services, collaboration, and progress monitoring data Stay updated on best practices and share expertise through professional development and team collaboration Act as a liaison and content expert on matters of child development and learning disorders, providing information and support to parents and staff This is a 37.5-hour per week contract position with direct involvement in two vibrant school communities.
