This contract opportunity offers a flexible schedule—work approximately 1.5 days per week, for a total of 10-11 hours, in a welcoming school environment near Escondido, CA. Qualifications and Experience:

• Active California Physical Therapist license and current credentials required
• Previous experience in school-based settings or pediatric populations highly valued
• Strong understanding of IEP processes, goal-setting, and progress documentation
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
• Adaptability and creativity in delivering physical therapy services
• Commitment to fostering inclusive participation and student success

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough student assessments to determine physical therapy needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans within the educational setting
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including teachers, OTs, and other support staff—to ensure cohesive student support
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate, compliant documentation of services and progress
• Educate school staff and family members on student needs and strategies
• Utilize assistive devices and mobility equipment as appropriate
• Foster a positive, supportive environment that encourages each student’s participation and progress
